[gaim-migrate @ 14411]
sf patch #1357831, from Sadrul Habib Chowdhury
Looks like this was my bug (me being KingAnt). Sorry!
The description from Sadrul:
This is a simple fix for the following "ShowStopperBug"
(from the kwiki):
==========
buddy shows as online when offline
* I(luke) played with this some today. when my
lschiere SILC account signs on, lschiere(aim) appears
on my LSchiere2 buddy list as though signing on. As far
as the gaim UI is concerned, there is no SILC buddy in
that contact. as LSchiere (aim) is my account, I am
quite sure that it is not online, plus attempting to IM
it yeilds the same result.

| 8849 | 1 | SILC Gaim Plugin |
| 2 | ================ | |
| 3 | ||
| 4 | This is Gaim protocol plugin of the protocol called Secure Internet Live | |
| 5 | Conferencing (SILC). The implementation will use the SILC Toolkit, | |
| 6 | freely available from the http://silcnet.org/ site, for the actual SILC | |
| 7 | protocol implementation. | |
| 8 | ||
| 9 | To include the SILC into Gaim, one needs to first compile and install | |
| 10 | the SILC Toolkit. It is done as follows: | |
| 11 | ||
| 12 | ./configure --enable-shared --without-silcd --without-irssi | |
| 13 | make | |
| 14 | make install | |
| 15 | ||
| 16 | This will compile shared libraries of the SILC Toolkit. If the --prefix | |
| 17 | is not given to ./configure, the binaries are installed into the | |
| 18 | /usr/local/silc directory. | |
| 19 | ||
| 20 | Once the Toolkit is installed one needs to tell for the Gaim ./configure | |
| 21 | script where the SILC Toolkit is located. It is done as follows: | |
| 22 | ||
| 23 | ./configure --with-silc-libs=/path/to/silc/lib | |
| 24 | --with-silc-includes=/path/to/silc/include | |
| 25 | ||
| 26 | If the Toolkit cannot be located the SILC will not be compiled into the | |
| 27 | Gaim. |
