This is the version packaged by Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Probably an even
higher version can be required, but this will do for now.

- Replace the deprecated gtk_misc_set_alignment function.
Where available, use the new gtk_label_set_[xy]align. Otherwise, set
halign and valign on the widget.
